The last (and sadly, only) time I blogged about this fine lady was because I was ecstatic about the Ladies’ Air Jordan 2 Retro kicks that she designed back in 2010. At the time, she became the first woman ever to design a pair of Jordans and have them reproduced.
I’ve admired Va$htie since then. It’s extremely refreshing to see a woman like her working in the hip hop industry, well known, without putting up a highly sexualized character as a front, but then again I don’t know many women working behind the scenes in that particular industry to begin with. I’m just pointing it out since she’s better known among the mass compared to others.
Aside from her work, her street style is off the hook and her beauty is…so captivating.
She’s damn beautiful and damn fresh and if you don’t know who she is, get to know her now.

Ever woke up with bad hair wanting to look glamorous, but felt too lazy to style it? That’s me every day, but I’ve found the solution! A pretty hair accessory will take you from a hot mess to a hot mess. And now I’m obsessed with hair accessories since it requires practically zero effort on my part and the less maintenance I have to do on my hair, the more that I love it.
I was supposed to start working on Caper Rose inventory and measurements at 10am this morning, probably should start soon. Think I’ll put Theophilus London, Little Dragon, Q-Tip and Mos Def on shuffle to get a work party started.
Reading the good word.

I finally got around to reorganizing my room and I did it. I let go of all things unnecessary. The items that I am not keeping will either be thrown away, donated, sold or simply digitized. Funny enough, this activity has gotten me to reconsider what beauty items I buy, I have realized that I have quite a few products relating to the same purpose!
Purging and consolidating. I seem to be getting better and better at it as I learn the art of letting go.
*Please note that I have only been seriously practicing the concept of “letting go” of dead weight since the year started and I have been applying it to all aspects of my life. Not just tangible things. It is not easy, but it is worth it.
I think I might have a panic attack if I don’t start making sense of my room soon! I’m settled in to my new apartment, as in all of my items are placed in my room, but I haven’t adjusted. I feel like I have more stuff, even though I did all I could to purge everything unnecessary before the move in.
I’m only blogging about this because I feel like it’s necessary to document my new way of thinking for this next round of cleaning: if it’s out-dated, it has to go. I normally throw away/recycle/donate the things I don’t touch and use the excuse of sentimentality or “I’ll need it someday, just not now” to try and keep things, but the truth is that information can quickly become irrelevant these days (yes, I’m referring to all my college textbooks that I refuse to let go of) and if I have no use for these items now, they may become completely useless in the future.
Wish me good luck.
I can’t get over how hip and casual this look is.

I feel a lot of things right now. None of them are good feelings.
—Thinking About You
You know how you listen to a new song and it automatically makes you think of a particular person and that song and that person will forever be permanently connected when you listen to it?
That tends to happen to me a lot. Or maybe I should say you, because you are the one I think about when I listen to all these songs that I jam to.
Funny how lately you have been trying to get me to like this guy, when the first song (which is also my most favorite of his) I heard from him was this one.
The one that instantly made me think about you when I first heard it last summer.
